How do you express affection toward others?

    Touch is my love language.

Each situation calls for a different way to show affection. For instance, when my mother is crying, espcially if it's at the graveyard, I often times walk away for a bit and let her have her "moment." I then come back and hug her, or put my arm around her shoulder.
If I'm with my nieces, we usually do quick kisses on the lips or if they are hurt, I hold and rock them.

With Kayleigh, if she is crying, I hold her and rock her too.

I wonder often, how many times I make someone uncomfortable even though my intentions are pure, some people don't like physical contact and don't want someone to show it to them. Often times, I pat someone on the back or arm, strangers, just in passing, say if they hold the door open or something.

Touch is important, in some ways, I think it lets me know I'm alive, not only is blood warming my skin, it is also warming that of another. It's intimate, its soothing.

Other ways I show affection: Short emails with I love yous, I miss yous, text messages of the same kind. I write. At work, I often do someone else's job, or do the tougher of the work load. Maybe that's an unsual form of affection, but to me affection is an act that conveys love or like, or companionship.

    Kisses are good too.

  • April Fools' Day is coming up - are you planning to prank anyone? How?

No and if I were, I sure as hell wouldn't be sharing it on here.

Matthew and I broke up on April Fool's Day last year, naturally people thought it was a joke, sadly it wasn't, in fact it wasn't funny in the least bit. I thought it would be funny to get back together on April Fool's Day, because people probably wouldn't believe us or think it was a joke.

As of now, no plans have been made about my relationship status, so don't take this as a sign of things to come.

but, no, no plans, no jokes, I've not been in the most humorous of moods. I'll be much better when say May 1st gets here and I'm practically on summer vacation.

  • What is your favorite painting, and why do you love it?

    http://tinyurl.com/ctmpwq

I don't know much about paintings (though I have started to do some painting and plan on doing some drawing this summer), haven't looked at a lot of art, but Van Gogh's Starry Night, was the first painting that came to mind.

It has this quality about it, that makes me feel like I've seen it in real life, that I've been to that exact starry night, to that village. It makes me think of a night out, elegance and wonder. I can imagine the night sky with swirls of blues just as the moon is coming out and the village quieting down, turning on their lamps.

    It's rest.

    Incompatible, it don't matter though
'cos someone's bound to hear my cry
    Speak out if you do
    You're not easy to find

    Is it possible Mr. Loveable
    Is already in my life?
    Right in front of me
    Or maybe you're in disguise

Who doesn't long for someone to hold
Who knows how to love you without being told

  • Do you have any unique eating habits?

Yes, though I had more when I was young. When I was younger I'd have to eat all the side items before the main course. For example, at McDonalds, I would eat all the french fries and then eat the hamburger. Or, if my mom made steak with mashed potatoes and corn. I would eat the corn. Then I would eat the potatos and then the steak.

I like to eat slightly burnt or crunchy things. When eating chips, I usually seek out the slightly burnt ones or the more crunchy looking ones. With french fries, I save all the burnt and or crunchy ones for last. I like the almost popped kernals of corn and I like the slighlty burn pieces also.

With white tic tacs, I place them on my tongue and let them sit for a minute because they taste like vanilla.

With cupcakes and cake with icing I eat the bottom part and the parts without icing and save the icing for last.

I don't really like chocolate very much, that always seems unique to others.

In middle school and high school, Kayleigh and I would cook food for the purpose of eating it with ketchup.

I always ask for extra croutons and I always eat them last.

I know there are plenty of others.

    What about you?

  • Are you a cat person or a dog person?

Unfortunetly, I am not allowed to have pets in my apartment, which is one reason why I'd like to move. I am a dog person. As far as pets go, I've only ever had 2 goldfish, to which my brother over fed and killed.

I'd really like to get a dog some day. I'd like a smaller dog, one that always looks like a puppy.

Working at the library though, has made me consider having a kitty also. Nearly everyone I work with has a cat or 5. They talk about how each have such a strong personality.

I think though, what it comes down to is companionship. I want a dog that is similar to me, in the regards, it can have energy when I want it to and it can cuddle me when I'm lazy.
